3、情感态度与价值观:通过敬仰名人,懂得做名人需要付出艰辛与努力。 
教学重点: When was he born? 
教学难点:把所学句型应用于实际。 
教学内容与过程: 
一、1、情景导入:介绍自己熟悉的体育明星“Michael Jordan”,由此归纳出1a部份的内容:Who is that? He is Michael Jordan. He is a great basketball player. When was he born? He was born in 1963.并用幻灯片显示。 
2、使学生完成1a部份的教学任务。 
二、1、播放1b的录音,引导学生听出对话中体育明星是谁,完成1b部份的教学任务。 
2、完成2a、2b的听力内容. 
3、引导学生展开pairwork活动,完成1c部份的口语交际的教学任务,介绍邓亚萍。采用师生问答与生生互动交流:Who is that? That is Dengyaping. She is a great Chinese ping-pong player. When was she born? She was born in 1973. 
4、引导学生运用2a与2b的信息编对话并进行交流,完成2c部份的口语交际的pairwork教学活动任务。 
5、引导学生阅读3a的短文,并填入合适的词,完成3a的教学任务。 
6、引导学生展开信息交流活动,完成3b部份口语教学任务,介绍自己熟悉的名人。 
三、协作学习 
引导学生展开groupwork活动,让他们进行相互采访,询问彼此之间从事一些动作的时间,完成第四部份的活动内容。

语法焦点:be born in/on 表示某人出生的时间:when 引导的时间状语从句。 
When were you born? I was born in 1975. 
When was he born? He was born in 1985. 
When did she become a movie star? When she was three years old. 
教学反思:我认为这节课有两个点学生们掌握是不是很好,in 和on 在用于时间前的区分总是混,尤其是具体某一天的上午、下午及晚上更是错上加错。再就是when 用于时间状语从句和特殊疑问句时,区分也不是很到位,要在以后的教学中给予加强。
