Teaching contents（教学内容）：
1．教材：新目标英语七年纪（上）
2．内容：Unit12 SectionB 本课内容围绕“最喜欢的科目”这一话题展开听，说，读，写等多种教学活动。教材以学生的学习经验和学习兴趣为出发点，语言素材来源于学生生活实际。
Teaching aims（教学目标）：
1．知识目标：a.学习并掌握学科的表达方式，如：math，science，history，PE；etc.
b.会用because表示理由；
c．掌握一周中星期一至星期天的表达方式；
d．学习使用What，Why，Who引导的特殊疑问句；
2．能力目标：a。运用所学的词汇，句型能谈论自己喜爱的学科；
b．学会谈论喜好的原因；
c．学会准确表达自己的观点。
3．情感目标：通过谈论自己及他人的学科兴趣，爱好，加深学生之间的了解，增进学生之间的友谊；帮助学生树立各科齐头并进的信心及合理安排时间的观念。
Difficult points （教学难点）：
重点：a.学会谈论自己喜爱的学科或其他东西并给出理由。
b.学习使用What，Why，Who引导的特殊疑问句及用because表示理由。
难点：能用所学内容准确陈述自己喜好的理由和如何合理安排时间。
Teaching aids （教学准备）:
电脑，多媒体讲台，录音机，磁带，U盘（课件），卡片（从星期一至星期天，并且打上日期）
Teaching steps （教学步骤）：
Before the class,listen to the music
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greeting.
2.Everyday English.
a.Eg. What’s your name? How are you? Etc.
b.T:What’s the date today?
S:It’s December 1st .
T:There are twelve months in a year.What are they?Let say them together,OK? Now,let’s begin.
S:January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August September, October, November, December.
Step2 Teach new words.
1. T:Today is December 1st ,but What day is it today?
T/S: –It’s Thursday.
T:Thursday means 星期四. How to spell it?
S:T-H-U-R-S-D-A-Y ,Thursday.
T:How many days are there in a week?
S: Seven.
T:How to say 星期一?（Show the cards from Sunday to Saturday.）
S:M-O-N-D-A-Y, Monday
(Teach Sunday,Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,Saturday in the same way.)
2.Read the new words.
3.Explaining.
T:we must pay attention to the differences between Chinese and English.In the USA,Sunday is the first day of a week.and “Whatday is the second/third/fourth/fifth/sixth/last day of a week.”(show the seven days on the screen)
S:…….
T:OK,Let’s say the seven days together in the right order.
S:Sunday, Monday …….
T:There are seven days in a week, Sunday and Saturday are weekend,from Monday to Friday is weekday.please look at the pictures,on weekends,the boy is sleeping. But on weekdays,the woman is working.(show pictures on the screen.)
Step3 Play a game
Show the seven cards from Sunday to Saturday(including the date)in the wrong order,
Call seven students to come to the front,everyone chooses one of the seven cards and read it by himself .
T: According to your cards,please stand in the correct order. Now,look at the cards,you see “Sunday,September 30 is NO.1 ……”according to this, please finish 1a in your books then report it.
Step4 Reporting
Ss report it.
S:Tuesday,October 2 is NO.3;Thursday,October4 is NO.5;Saturday,Oct6 is…Wednesday,Oct3 is…Sunday,Sep30 is…Friday,Oct5 is…Monday,Oct1 is …
T:Excellent,thank you!(call 3-5 students to report it).
Step4 Presentation
1. T:Today is Thursday , December 1st,It’s the fifth day of the week. From Monday to Friday ,we have classes. Now,we are having an English class,but What subjects do you study at school?
S: I study English,math,Chinese,PE.,Art etc.
T:Yes,we have learned Chinese, math, English, history,science,music, art ,PE.and biology (show the words and the books on the screen )
2. Review the subjects and teach the new word biology.
3. T:What’s your favorite subject?
S1:PE.
T:When do you have PE.?
S1:I have PE. on Wednesday.(show the dialogue on the screen.)
T:What about you ?What’s your favorite subject?
S2:My favorite subject is music.
T:And When do you have it?
S2:I have it on Thursday.
4. Ss read the conversation in pairs.
5. According to the conversation , Ss use the subjects they have learned to work in pairs
6. Ss ask and answer in pairs.
Step5 Listening
1. T:OK, I know what subjects you study at school and when you have them ,but now Ming ,Selina and Ken are talking about their study, “What subjects are they talking about?”listen to the tape twice and only write down the subjects you hear,finish 2a(show the blanks on the screen)
2. Give an example biology.
3. Check the answers on the screen.
4. T:On the tape Ming says that her favorite subject is history because it’s fun and she has it on Friday,but what about Selina and Ken? Listen to the tape again and fill in the chart in 2b(show the chart on the screen) listen twice.
5. Check the answers on the screen. You can begin like this “Selina’s favorite subject is art because it’s relaxing and she has it on Monday and Wednesday.”
S1: Ming’s favorite subject is…because it’s…and he has it on …
S2:Ken’s favorite subject is…because it’s…and he has it on …
S3: Selina’s favorite subject is…because it’s…and she has it on …
Step6 Pairwork
1.T:look at the chart and make a coversation, prepare it in pairs,you can practice it like this dialogue.(show a chart about Step5 (5) and a new dialogue on the screen.)
Eg.S1:What’s Ken’s favorite subject?
S2:Science.
S1:Why does he like Science?
S2:Because it’s interesting.
S1 :When does he have it?
S2 : He has it on Tuesday.
2.Ss read it in pairs
3.Ss prepare a new conversation in pairs
4.Ss pratice it in pairs(some groups)
Step7 Groups work
1.T: Ming ,Selina and Ken all have their favorite subjects ,but what about you? Now,design your favorite day and fill in the chart(show the chart on the screen.) eg.
