It's 7 a.m. It's time to go to school. What? You don't want to go? Well maybe you don't have to. Many kids don't go to school. They stay at home. Someone teaches them at home. Usually, their parents teach them, but sometimes a special teacher teaches them. This is home schooling
There are many reasons for home schooling. (31)Some children are very sick and cannot go to school. Some students live very far in the country. There aren't any schools near their homes. Sometimes, parents just don't like the schools near their homes.
(32)Home schooling sounds easy, but it's really not. Home-school students have to do the same work as regular (正规的) students. They study the same subjects and have homework. Also, home-school students don't meet other students in school. Sometimes, finding friends can be hard for them. Not going to school can be harder than you thought.

When Harley-Davidson won their first motorcycle race in 1905, their fastest speed (速度) was around 45 miles an hour. Motorcycle racing is different today. Today, the fastest motorcycle can go 180 miles per hour. This is as fast as most race cars! Motorcycle racing is popular, and it is getting more popular every year.
There are many kinds of motorcycle racing, but street racing is the most popular. In street racing, motorcycle riders race on a special track. They go very fast. There are three kinds of street racing: Super Sport, Sport Bike, and Grand Prix. Each kind of racing uses a different motorcycle. The biggest difference in the motorcycles is engine size.
Because motorcycles go fast, motorcycle racing can be dangerous. Motorcycle racers must wear special clothes. Their pants and shirts are very thick and strong. When racers fall off their bikes, the special pants and shirts keep them safe. Of course, racers also wear helmets. Even with special clothes and helmets, motorcycle racing is dangerous. A motorcycle racer must be very brave.

Ten-year-old Barack Obama was one of only three black students at his school in Hawaii (夏威夷), US. He felt very different from most other

students. White girls wanted to touch his hair.

A white boy asked him whether his father ate people.“I lied to them that my father was a Kenyan (肯尼亚) prince. But I kept asking myself who I am,” said Obama. However, 37 years later, the boy made history. Last Wednesday Obama became the first black president in US history.

With help from his friends, Obama finally turned his life around at college. His hard work made him a star at Harvard. Later, he became only the third black senator (参议员) in US history. During his race to the highest post in the US, Obama talked about his background. He called for a United States of America, rather than a white America or a black America.
“Obama’s success has made Martin Luther King’s dream come true. That is: A man should not be judged  by the color of his skin  but by the content of his character,” wrote ABC news.
Martin Luther King was a great fighter for the rights of black people in the US. He made the famous I have a dream speech to call for the equality of people of different colors. He was assassinated  in 1968 at the age of 39.

Coach Frank Rijkaard has fun watching Ronaldinho train. "When you're lucky enough to have a player like that you give him freedom to do what he wants," Rijkaard said. "It's up to him whether he wants to go left, right or middle. He just amazes me game after game."
Raised by his mother after his father died, Ronaldinho was the youngest of three children born into a working family.
"I grew up in a happy, musical house. Music and football were my life," he said, "If I hadn't been a footballer, I would have been a musician."
